David Yee, M.D. is a physician (medical doctor). Dr. Yee is a board certified ophthalmologist (eye specialist and eye surgeon) and ophthalmic plastic surgeon. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Yee received a bachelor's degree in biochemistry from the University of California, Berkeley at the age of 17. He received a M.D. degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine, the third oldest medical school in the U.S. outside of the original 13 colonies on the East Coast.
His surgical training includes doing a general surgery internship at the Louisiana State University Medical Center. He completed ophthalmology residency training at the Harvey and Bernice Jones Eye Institute at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. There, he was Chief Resident and received the Academic Achievement Award for most outstanding performance as measured by academic achievement, faculty evaluations and research work.
Dr. Yee did two fellowships, which is advanced sub-specialty training beyond residency training. He completed a clinical fellowship in burn surgery at the University of Southern California / LAC+USC Medical Center, which consisted of training in critical care in the burn center as well as surgical treatment of burns, including eyelid burns.
Dr. Yee completed a fellowship in oculoplastic surgery (ophthalmic plastic surgery) with Dr. Tenzel in Miami. During the oculoplastic fellowship, he also observed surgeons in London, Singapore, Oklahoma City and New York to gain additional perspectives in oculoplastic surgery.
Dr. Yee has published and presented clinical and research work in peer reviewed journals including Cancer and the Archives of Ophthalmology as well as presented at major medical meetings in the United States, Singapore, and Australia.

Dr. Richard Yee received his M.D. degree from the University of Wisconsin Medical School. He did a rotating internship at Queen’s Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii. He completed his residency training at the University of Illinois Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Yee completed two tours of duty in the U.S. Army Medical Corps achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He was the Chief of Surgery at Irwin Army Hospital commanding all surgical specialties at the hospital.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME? Please bring your glasses, a list of medications that you are taking (including eye drops and any herbal remedies), your insurance card and driver's license (or other identification). If your insurance has a co-pay, this is required at the time of your office visit.
While other offices may have a policy to arrive 15 or 20 minutes before your appointment time, our goal is simplicity and efficiency. Merely come to the office at your appointment time. Since we ask for your insurance ID number when you make your appointment (sometimes called subscriber ID or member number), checking in is quick and efficient.
WEARING OF MASKS INSIDE IN THE OFFICE IS REQUIRED. This measure is to protect you and other patients, some of whom are in poor health. These mask measures are consistent with American Academy of Ophthalmology and Canadian Ophthalmological Society recommendations for patient safety in the ophthalmic health care setting.
